A Few Words About Cheryl
As the owner of this training school, my goal is to teach you and your family how to train your dog to focus, learn and work together with you. It is important for the dog to have confidence, manners and good social skills to be an outstanding family pet. Through positive reinforcement methods, you and your family will find the training fun and easy to learn as you see fast results.
I have been involved with dog training since 1985 when I became interested in having a great family pet. It was not long afterwards that my focus also took me to obedience competitions.
Over the years, I have competed in both Canada and the U.S. obtaining obedience titles on my dogs. I have also enjoyed competing in both agility and flyball. As a 17 year past member of the K-W Kennel Club, I held executive offices of President, Vice President and Director. I chaired many committees which including the training classes, the club telephone and held the position of Show & Trial Secretary for the all breed dog show for four years. I have had the pleasure of working as a Head Instructor for McCann Professional Dog Trainers as well as being the past Training Director for Wag and Train Inc. I am also a 25 year member and a licensed Obedience Judge for the Canadian Kennel Club. In addition to my experience, I am continuing to further my knowledge by attending seminars to keep up to date with current tools and techniques.
My family consists of my four dogs. Posieden my Sheltie who loves to play with the big boys, Knockout who is at his proudest when carrying three tennis balls at the same time and my Shepherd Colten who loves to work and play.
I encourage people to come out at anytime and watch classes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at Cheryl@elitedogs.ca
